Field // Photography
Age // 18
Resides // South Hero, Vermont USA
Years in the game // About 4 years
Inspiration // I’m inspired by travelling to new places, being outside and meeting new people. I love that each person who models for me is different and always has a story to them which inspires me to discover more. I am also influenced by other photographers my age who are also taking the industry by storm.
Equipment // Nikon D700, Hasselblad CW.
Preferred film/digital? // I prefer digital for its fast and easy turn around and the ability to edit the effects of the photo using programs such as Photoshop. I also do love film, it seems to be more of an art form than digital photography.
Tell us about your hometown? // I’ve lived in South Hero a small rural town in Vermont for about 13 years and I love it. I’m close in proximity to beautiful Lake Champlain, and the Green Mountains. Living in a rural area is splendid, and has benefited my photography greatly. My home is majestic in the summertime. The back yard consists of huge gardens and an orchard with trees drooping from bountiful amounts of fresh fruit. It truly is somewhere I could live my entire life. Across the road from my house there is a beautiful old cow barn with large fields behind it. In these fields and surrounding the barn is where I do most of my shoots.
You recently got accepted into a photography college in NYC, excited? // I recently was accepted into FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) in NYC for photography. After years of attempting to convince my parents and family that photography school was the place for me, will finally be landing in Manhattan. It’s a dream come true, and I’m thrilled to be starting school in a competitive and passionate environment. I have big goals and plans for the city with aspirations of an internship at VOGUE or other magazines within the coming few years.
