Still being relatively new to NYC, the thought of shooting fashion on rooftops and the yellow cab is still a fancy feature, so when Katherine got in touch to shoot, my rooftop in Brooklyn was the first thing that popped into my head. One of our mates from B_Space on Mulberry St, Nolita sorted us…
In the spirit of Easter we’ve decided to post one of the people with the nicest souls we know.
Back in 2012 a very hungover Cassandra rocked up on my doorstep on a sunny Sunday morning willing to have a crack at her first photo shoot. All I had laying around the place were some my random clothes and Velvet Sea tee’s. The rolling is the result of a few hours of Cass, random clothing and good tunes.
Hope you enjoy it;
WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE’S NO INTERNET??
But how will anyone know I’m having a good time without any instagram updates?
For this #VSFRAMES, we’ve pulled together an old post and photo essay from Sam Page, shot in Copenhagen, 2012 and inspired by the sounds of Trentemoller.
The dark ocean waves,
clashing amongst each other,
above the ocean floor
that dose not have a bother
Travelling around NZ in camper van, zig zagging the island, drinking coffee, surfing, sleeping where ever the fuck you park, waking up and doing it all again. No time limit, 3 pals… It just goes on and on.
While I was putting together my recent videos in France, the crew spent plenty of time at a bar called Le Surfing.
On the other side of the bar was Nick Pumphrey, shaking away countless cocktails to help our confidence with the hornets.
The commotion cleared and the tour made their way across the arid spanish countryside to Supertubos.
I tagged along with Nick.
I had the chance to see how he operated behind the lens and sticky beaked at the results.
I really liked his style of photography so i decided to put this post together.
To the Friday, I’m In Love crew,
Thank you for making my Fridays such a splendorous day and for kick starting my weekend.
P.S. I think you are the reason why I get so excited and overly drunk every weekend.
Sincerely, Velvet Sea. X

Wow! Man it feels good to be a Friday. Beer in hand, amber liquid sliding down the throat and iPod speakers pumping onto the balcony while we stare into the sun and try to rid our body of that horrendous, winter pale look.
